For this project in my Numerical Methods class, my team developed a polynomial regression model in MATLAB to estimate calories burned based on a variety of variables. To improve prediction accuracy, we implemented numerical optimization techniques, refining the model and validating results against real-world data. This project highlights my ability to apply mathematical modeling, regression analysis, and MATLAB programming to solve practical engineering and health-related problems.
